Due Friday!

A couple reminders...

Take a look at the Contents of Rereading America and choose 5 or more essays that interest you or intrigue you. This class will focus on collaboration work as much as it does individual writing and participation. Group work will play a major part in our classes as we approach our writing with peer editing and group discussion. Bring in your choices typed up to hand in, please.

As I said, we will be doing an in-class diagnostic on Friday so be prepared with fresh minds and pencils...

Also, don't forget to bring your questionnaire to class!

I have the book " Rereading America" sitting in front of me and I am looking through the table of contents. As I read the names of the essays and stories, there are some that call on me to stop and read. I finger the words and taste the ideas of the text and my mouth waters in anticipation of the class room reading of such controversial stories. I hope to read Jo Ann Morgan story " From Fly Girls to Bitches and Hos" and " The Christian Paradox" by McKibben. I also hope to read most of the "New World Order" and look forward to the debate.
Oh, the sacred cows that we shall slaughter.

I'm happy to see some excitement about the course so far! I am sure that we will have many riveting discussions about the controversial material we will face!
Post Post Post! Let's get some published journals up on this blog to get it going some more!
